according to the latest report of the cambodian general administration of rubber, cambodia exported 65,921 tons of rubber in the first quarter of 2023, an increase of 6.8% from 61,739 tons in the same period last year.
the country earned $89 million from rubber exports in the first quarter, n 9.5 percent from $98.4 million a year earlier, the report said.
the country's rubber is mainly exported to malaysia, vietnam, singapore and china.
as of now, cambodia has a total of 404,578 hectares of rubber plantations, of which 315,332 hectares or 77.9% are harvestable.
